Menu for a 9 month old baby

My little one is a good eater, and she is excited about trying new stuff including the our spicy table food. Each kids are individuals and their eating habits too differ.

At 9 month old kids are not allowed to eat Cow Milk, Nuts and Nut Products, Honey ,Chocolates and egg whites. Excluding this stuff the child can have almost everything healthy that we eat.

At this age also Breast Milk/Formula should be the main food for the babies. It is suggested that babies should have 20-24oz of Breast Milk/Formula each day.(Babies have 4-6 oz of milk in a feeding.)

Rhea's Arrival

My little angel came to my life on March 24th 9.16pm EST. She was weighing 7 lb and 12 oz , 21.5 inches long and 13.5 head circ. She was born on Carolina Medical Center  University Hospital, Charlotte,NC .

It was a normal but induced delivery. The expected due date was 19th March. However she didn’t decide to arrive until 23rd, so my doctor(Dr Ginger Dickerson) at Eastover University ObGyn decided to induce the delivery on 24th of March. The Dr who attended the Delivery was Dr. Boyd L Parks. We selected Dr. Andrew Gunter from University Pediatrics as her Doctor.

It was her Dad who cut the cord and held her for the first time. Her Maternal Grandma too was there to witness her arrival. Most of the people said she resemble her Dad though there were opinions that her eyes are mine.

We named her Rhea–a Greek Goddess, which means flowing or earthy. Her Dad wanted her name to be short and sweet. I wanted a Christian name for her. I have short listed handful of names for her and her Dad selected Rhea from the list. Of course the best among them.

She is the best thing ever happened to my life and I am so thankful to God for this wonderful  gift.
